सोषामविन्दत्स स्वः सो अग्निं सो अर्केण वि बबाधे तमांसि । बृहस्पतिर्गोवपुषो वलस्य निर्मज्जानं न पर्वणो जभार ॥
sóṣām avindat sá svàr sá agníṃ sá arkéṇa ví babādhe támāṃsi | bṛ́haspátir gó-vapuṣo valásya nír-majjānaṃ ná párvaṇo jabhāra ||
അവൻ ഉഷസ്സിനെ കണ്ടെത്തി; അവൻ സ്വഃ—പ്രകാശമയ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തെ—കണ്ടെത്തി; അവൻ അഗ്നിയെ കണ്ടെത്തി. അർക്ക (സ്തുതി-ഹിമ്ന)കൊണ്ട് അവൻ അന്ധകാരങ്ങളെ തകർത്തു. ഗോവപുഷ വലയിൽ നിന്ന് ബൃഹസ്പതി അതിനെ പുറത്തെടുത്തു—സന്ധിയിൽ നിന്ന് മജ്ജ എടുത്തെടുക്കുന്നതുപോലെ.
