Sukta 10.55
ऐभिर्ददे वृष्ण्या पौंस्यानि येभिरौक्षद्वृत्रहत्याय वज्री । ये कर्मणः क्रियमाणस्य मह्न ऋतेकर्ममुदजायन्त देवाः ॥
ā́bhir dadé vṛ́ṣṇyā paúṃsyāni yébhir aúkṣad vṛtra-hátyāya vajrī́ | yé kármaṇaḥ kriyámāṇasya máhnā ṛté-karmam úd ajāyanta devā́ḥ ||
ഈ ശക്തികളാൽ അവൻ വൃഷ്ണ്യ പൗംസ്യ (വീര്യശക്തികൾ) ദാനം ചെയ്തു; അവയാൽ തന്നെയാണ് വജ്രീ (വജ്രധാരി) വൃത്രഹത്യയ്ക്കായി ബലവാനായത്. നടന്നു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന കര്മ്മത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വത്താൽ ദേവന്മാർ ഋതകർമ്മം (ഋതത്തിന്റെ കര്മ്മം) എന്ന സത്യക്രിയയിലേക്കു ഉയർന്നു ജനിച്ചു.
