सूर्याचन्द्रमसौ धाता यथापूर्वमकल्पयत् । दिवं च पृथिवीं चान्तरिक्षमथो स्वः ॥
Transliteration
sūryācandramásau dhātā́ yathāpū́rvam akalpayat | dívaṃ ca pṛthivī́ṃ cāntárikṣam átho svàḥ ||
Translation
ധാതാ (വിധാതാവ്) സൂര്യനും ചന്ദ്രനും പൂർവ്വമാതൃകപ്രകാരം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു; അവരുടെ സ്ഥാനങ്ങളും സ്ഥാപിച്ചു—ദ്യൗഃ (ആകാശം), പൃഥിവി, അന്തരിക്ഷം, കൂടാതെ സ്വഃ (സ്വർഗ്ഗലോകം)യും.
