ഈ ചെറുസൂക്തം ദിവ്യ ശില്പശക്തികളായ ഋഭുക്കളെയും അവരുടെ “പുത്രന്മാർ” (അവരുടെ ശക്തികൾ) യെയും ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു—മഹത്തായ കൃതിയെ വികസിപ്പിക്കുകയും പരിപൂർണമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ബലങ്ങളായി; ഭൂമിയെ മാതൃഗാവായി കണ്ട് അവളിൽ നിന്ന് പോഷണം കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവരായി. തുടർന്ന് ഇത് യജ്ഞത്തിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തകശക്തിയിലേക്കുതന്നെ തിരിയുന്നു: ദേവാന്വേഷിയായ ഹോതാവും അഗ്നിയും—സുഗമമായി നയിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന രഥംപോലെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നവർ, സംരക്ഷണത്തിനായി നമ്മുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ “നിർമ്മിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ”, അമരമായ ഉദ്ഭവത്തിലേക്കായി ജീവിതത്തെ വിശാലമാക്കുന്നവർ.

प्र सूनव ऋभूणां बृहन्नवन्त वृजना । क्षामा ये विश्वधायसोऽश्नन्धेनुं न मातरम् ॥

മുന്നോട്ട് നീങ്ങുവിൻ, ഋഭുക്കളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരേ; ഹേ പ്രവർത്തനശീലികളേ, മഹത്തായ പ്രവൃത്തിയെ വിപുലമാക്കുവിൻ. നിങ്ങൾ സർവ്വവിധത്തിലും സർവ്വത്തെയും ധരിക്കുന്നവർ; പോഷക ക്ഷാമാ (പൃഥ്വി)യെ മാതൃ-പശുവെന്നപോലെ കരുതി പോഷണം സ്വീകരിക്കുവിൻ; അവളിൽ നിന്ന് യാത്രയ്ക്കുള്ള സ്ഥിരസമൃദ്ധി ദോഹിക്കുവിൻ.

प्र देवं देव्या धिया भरता जातवेदसम् । हव्या नो वक्षदानुषक् ॥

ദിവ്യ ധിയ (ദൈവചിന്ത)കൊണ്ട് ദേവനെ മുന്നോട്ട് കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ—എല്ലാ ജന്മങ്ങളെയും അറിയുന്ന ജാതവേദസിനെ. അവൻ നമ്മുടെ ഹവ്യങ്ങളെ വഹിച്ച്, അനുഷക് ക്രമത്തിൽ മുന്നോട്ട് എത്തിക്കട്ടെ—മാനവ യജ്ഞഗതിയെ ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ ശാശ്വത അഗ്നിയുമായി ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനായി.

अयमु ष्य प्र देवयुर्होता यज्ञाय नीयते । रथो न योरभीवृतो घृणीवाञ्चेतति त्मना ॥

ഇവൻ തന്നേ—ദേവയു ഹോതൃ—യജ്ഞത്തിനായി മുന്നോട്ട് നയിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. വഴിയിൽ നന്നായി ചുറ്റപ്പെട്ട രഥംപോലെ, ദീപ്തമായ ഉഷ്മയോടെ, അവൻ തന്റെ തന്നെ ആത്മബലം/അന്തര്ചേതനയാൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.

अयमग्निरुरुष्यत्यमृतादिव जन्मनः । सहसश्चित्सहीयान्देवो जीवातवे कृतः ॥

ഈ അഗ്നി നമ്മുടെ നിലയെ വിപുലമാക്കി കാത്തുരക്ഷിക്കുന്നു—അമൃതത്തിൽ നിന്നുതന്നെ ജനിച്ചതുപോലെ. ബലത്തേക്കാളും ബലവാനായി, ദേവൻ നമ്മിൽ യഥാർത്ഥമായി ജീവിക്കാനായി രൂപപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
