हिरण्यस्तूपः सवितर्यथा त्वाङ्गिरसो जुह्वे वाजे अस्मिन् । एवा त्वार्चन्नवसे वन्दमानः सोमस्येवांशुं प्रति जागराहम् ॥
hiraṇyá-stūpaḥ savitar yáthā tvā ā́ṅgirasaḥ júhve vā́je asmín | evā́ tvā́rcann ávase vándamānaḥ sómasya-ivāṃśúṃ práti jāgarāhám ||
ഹേ സ്വർണശിഖരനായ സവിതൃ! ഈ ബലസമ്പൂർണ്ണതയിൽ അങ്ഗിരസർ യജ്ഞത്തിൽ നിന്നെ ആഹ്വാനിച്ചതുപോലെ, അങ്ങനെ ഞാനും സഹായത്തിനായി നിന്നെ അർച്ചിച്ചു വന്ദിച്ചു, നിനക്കു നേരെ ജാഗരൂകനായി നില്ക്കുന്നു—സോമത്തിന്റെ ദീപ്തമായ അംശുവിനെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെ—നിന്റെ പ്രേരണം ഞങ്ങളിലകത്ത് പ്രവർത്തനക്ഷമമാകുന്നതുവരെ.
