नृचक्षा एष दिवो मध्य आस्त आपप्रिवान्रोदसी अन्तरिक्षम् । स विश्वाचीरभि चष्टे घृताचीरन्तरा पूर्वमपरं च केतुम् ॥
nṛcákṣā eṣá divó mádhya āsta āpaprivā́n ródasī antárikṣam | sá viśvā́cīr abhí caṣṭe ghṛtā́cīr antárā pū́rvam áparaṁ ca ketúm ||
നൃചക്ഷാഃ—മനുഷ്യരെ ദർശിക്കുന്നവൻ—ഇവൻ ദിവത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ ആസീനനായി, റോദസീ എന്ന ഇരുലോകങ്ങളെയും അന്തരിക്ഷത്തെയും നിറയ്ക്കുന്നു. അവൻ വിശ്വാചീ, ഘൃതാചീയായ പ്രകാശധാരകളെ അഭി ചഷ്ടേ; പൂർവവും അപരവും—ഭൂതവും ആഗാമിയും—എന്ന രണ്ടു കേതുക്കളുടെ ഇടയിൽ വിവേചനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
