अहं सोममाहनसं बिभर्म्यहं त्वष्टारमुत पूषणं भगम् । अहं दधामि द्रविणं हविष्मते सुप्राव्ये यजमानाय सुन्वते ॥
aháṃ sómam āhanásaṃ bibharmy aháṃ tváṣṭāram utá pūṣáṇaṃ bhágam | aháṃ dadhāmi dráviṇaṃ havíṣmate suprāvyè yajámānāya sunváte ||
ഞാൻ സോമനെ—അഹനസ (തടസ്സങ്ങളെ സംഹരിക്കുന്നവൻ)—ധരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ത്വഷ്ടാവിനെയും, കൂടാതെ പൂഷനെയും ഭഗനെയും ധരിക്കുന്നു. ഹവിഷ്മാനായ (ആഹുതി അർപ്പിക്കുന്ന)വനുവേണ്ടി ഞാൻ ദ്രവിണം (ധനം/സമ്പത്ത്) സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നു—സുപ്രാവ്യ, സമൃദ്ധമായ സംരക്ഷണമുള്ളത്—സോമം പിഴിയുന്ന യജമാനനുവേണ്ടി.
