Sukta 10.111
इन्द्रो दिवः प्रतिमानं पृथिव्या विश्वा वेद सवना हन्ति शुष्णम् । महीं चिद्द्यामातनोत्सूर्येण चास्कम्भ चित्कम्भनेन स्कभीयान् ॥
índro diváḥ pratímānaṃ pṛthivyā́ víśvā veda sávanā hánti śúṣṇam | mahī́ṃ cid dyā́m ātanot sū́ryeṇa cā́skambha cit kámbhanena skábhīyān ||
ഇന്ദ്രൻ ദ്യൗസ്സിന്റെ പ്രതിമയും പൃഥിവിയുടെ അധാരവും ആയി, സോമ-സവനങ്ങളെയെല്ലാം അറിയുന്നു; പ്രവാഹം തടയുന്ന ശുഷ്ണനെ അവൻ സംഹരിക്കുന്നു. സത്യദർശനത്തിന്റെ സൂര്യനാൽ മഹത്തായ ദ്യൗസ്സിനെയും അവൻ വ്യാപിപ്പിച്ചു; കുലുക്കുന്ന ശക്തികളേക്കാൾ ബലമുള്ള അധാരശക്തിയാൽ അതിനെ ദൃഢമായി താങ്ങിനിറുത്തി.
