किमिच्छन्ती सरमा प्रेदमानड्दूरे ह्यध्वा जगुरिः पराचैः । कास्मेहितिः का परितक्म्यासीत्कथं रसाया अतरः पयांसि ॥
kím icchántī sarámā prá idám ānaḍ dūré hí ádhvā jáguriḥ parācáiḥ | kā́ asméhítiḥ kā́ paritakmyā́ āsīt katháṃ rasā́yā ataraḥ páyāṃsi ||
ഹേ സരമേ, നീ ഇവിടെ കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് എന്ത് തേടിയാണ് വന്നത്? വഴി വാസ്തവത്തിൽ ദൂരമാണ്; അപ്പുറത്തുനിന്ന് വരുക ദുഷ്കരം. ഞങ്ങളോടുള്ള നിന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശം എന്ത്, നിന്റെ ചുറ്റിപ്പറ്റിയ പിന്തുടർച്ച എന്ത്? രസാ നദിയുടെ ജലങ്ങളെ നീ എങ്ങനെ കടന്നു?
