राज्ञो नु ते वरुणस्य व्रतानि बृहद्गभीरं तव सोम धाम । शुचिष्ट्वमसि प्रियो न मित्रो दक्षाय्यो अर्यमेवासि सोम ॥
rājño nú te váruṇasya vratā́ni bṛhád-gabhīráṃ táva soma dhā́ma | śucíṣ tvám asi priyó ná mitró dakṣā́yyo aryamā́iva asi soma ||
രാജാവായ വരുണന്റെ വ്രതങ്ങളുപോലെ തന്നെയാണ് നിന്റെ വ്രതങ്ങൾ (നിയമങ്ങൾ); ഹേ സോമ, നിന്റെ ധാമം വിശാലവും ഗഹനവും ആകുന്നു. നീ അതിശുചി; മിത്രനെപ്പോലെ പ്രിയൻ; അര്യമനെപ്പോലെ ദക്ഷയ്ക്കു യോഗ്യൻ—ഋതത്തിന്റെ ക്രമബദ്ധ ധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ ഉദാത്ത ശക്തി—ഹേ സോമ, നീ അതുതന്നെ ആകുന്നു.
