प्र यद्रथेषु पृषतीरयुग्ध्वं वाजे अद्रिं मरुतो रंहयन्तः । उतारुषस्य वि ष्यन्ति धाराश्चर्मेवोदभिर्व्युन्दन्ति भूम ॥
prá yád rathéṣu pṛ́ṣatīr áyugdhvaṃ vā́je ádrim maruto raṃháyantaḥ | utā́ruṣásya ví ṣyanti dhā́rāś cármevódabhír vyúndanti bhū́ma ||
നിങ്ങൾ രഥങ്ങളിൽ പൃഷതീ (ചിതറ) അശ്വങ്ങളെ യോജിപ്പിച്ച്, വാജ (ബലം/വിജയം) നിറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അദ്രി (കല്ല്)യെ മുന്നോട്ട് തള്ളിക്കൊണ്ട് വേഗത്തിൽ ഓടിച്ചപ്പോൾ, ഹേ മരുതന്മാരേ—അരുഷ (ചുവപ്പുനിറ) പ്രകാശത്തിന്റെ ധാരകൾ പൊട്ടിപ്പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; ചർമത്തിൽ നിന്നു വെള്ളം ഒഴുകുന്നതുപോലെ, അവ വിശാലമായ ഭൂമിയെ നനച്ച് വ്യാപിക്കുന്നു.
