स त्वामदद्वृषा मदः सोमः श्येनाभृतः सुतः । येना वृत्रं निरद्भ्यो जघन्थ वज्रिन्नोजसार्चन्ननु स्वराज्यम् ॥
sá tvā́ amadat vṛ́ṣā mádaḥ sómaḥ śyenā́bhṛtaḥ sutáḥ | yéna vṛtráṃ nír adbhyó jaghántha vajrinn ójasā́rcan ánu sva-rā́jyam ||
ശ്യേനൻ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന, സുതമായ ആ വൃഷഭസദൃശ മദരൂപ സോമൻ നിന്നെ ആനന്ദിപ്പിച്ചു. അതിനാൽ, ഹേ വജ്രിൻ, നിന്റെ ഓജസ്സാൽ നീ ജലങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു വൃത്രനെ പുറത്താക്കി വധിച്ചു; സ്തുതി പാടിക്കൊണ്ട് സ്വരാജ്യത്തിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശിച്ചു.
