यामथर्वा मनुष्पिता दध्यङ्धियमत्नत । तस्मिन्ब्रह्माणि पूर्वथेन्द्र उक्था समग्मतार्चन्ननु स्वराज्यम् ॥
yām atharvā manuṣ pitā dadhyaṅ dhiyam atnat | tasmin brahmāṇi pūrva-thā indre ukthā sam agmata arcann anu sva-rājyam ||
അഥർവൻ, മനുഷ്യപിതാവായ മനു, ദധ്യങ് (ദധ്യഞ്ച്) എന്നിവർ മനസ്സോടെ പരിശ്രമിച്ച് രൂപപ്പെടുത്തിയ ആ പ്രചോദനത്തിൽ—ഇന്ദ്രനിൽ—പുരാതന ബ്രഹ്മാണി (മന്ത്ര-രചനകൾ)യും ഉച്ചരിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഉക്ഥങ്ങളും ഒന്നിച്ചു ചേർന്നു; ഗായകർ അവന്റെ സ്വരാജ്യം അനുഗമിച്ച് സ്തുതിഗാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
