Sukta 1.77
स हि क्रतुः स मर्यः स साधुर्मित्रो न भूदद्भुतस्य रथीः । तं मेधेषु प्रथमं देवयन्तीर्विश उप ब्रुवते दस्ममारीः ॥
sá hí kratúḥ sá már yaḥ sá sādhúr mitró ná bhūd ádbhutasya rathī́ḥ | táṃ médheṣu prathamáṃ devayántīr víśa úpa bruvate dasmám ārī́ḥ ||
അവൻ തന്നെയാണ് ക്രതു (സങ്കൽപ-ശക്തി); അവൻ തന്നെയാണ് മർയ (വീരബലം); അവൻ തന്നെയാണ് സാധു—നേരായ, ശുഭസഹായി—മിത്രനെപ്പോലെ; അത്ഭുതയാത്രയുടെ രഥിയും അവൻ തന്നെയാകുന്നു. അവനെയേ മെധാകർമങ്ങളിൽ ആദ്യം, ദേവനെ തേടുന്ന ജനങ്ങൾ എല്ലാദിക്കിലും നിന്നു ദക്ഷനായ (ദസ്മ) അവനെ സമീപം വിളിക്കുന്നു.
