वीळु चिद्दृळ्हा पितरो न उक्थैरद्रिं रुजन्नङ्गिरसो रवेण । चक्रुर्दिवो बृहतो गातुमस्मे अहः स्वर्विविदुः केतुमुस्राः ॥

Transliteration

vīḷú cid dṛḷhā́ pitaro na uktháir ádrim rujánn áṅgirasaḥ ravéṇa | cakrúr divó bṛható gātúm asmè áhaḥ svàr vivíduḥ ketúm usrā́ḥ

Translation

ദൃഢമായി അടഞ്ഞിരുന്നതും നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കൾ ഉക്തികളാൽ തുറന്നു—അംഗിരസർ നാദത്തോടെ അദ്രി (ശില)യെ പൊട്ടിച്ചു. അവർ നമ്മുടെ വേണ്ടി വിശാല ദ്യൗവിൽ ഒരു പാത ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അഹഃ (ദിവസം)യും സ്വർ (സൂര്യൻ) എന്നതിന്റെ തേജോമയ കേതു കണ്ടെത്തി, പ്രകാശമുള്ള കിരണങ്ങൾ ഉദിച്ചു.
