Sukta 1.53
शचीव इन्द्र पुरुकृद्द्युमत्तम तवेदिदमभितश्चेकिते वसु । अतः संगृभ्याभिभूत आ भर मा त्वायतो जरितुः काममूनयीः ॥
śacī́va indra puru-kṛd dyumat-tama tavéd idám abhítaś cekite vásu | atáḥ saṃgṛ́bhyābhibhūta ā́ bhara mā́ tvā́yataḥ jaritúḥ kā́mam ūnayīḥ ||
ഹേ ശചീവ ഇന്ദ്രാ, അനേകം കൃത്യങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുന്നവനേ, അത്യന്തം ദ്യുതിമാനേ—ഈ വസു (ധനം/നിധി) എല്ലായിടത്തും നിന്റേതെന്നു തന്നെ വ്യക്തമായി കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. അതിനാൽ, ജയിയായി അതിനെ സമാഹരിച്ചു ഇവിടെ കൊണ്ടുവരിക; നിന്നിലേക്കു എത്താൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന ഗായകന്റെ (ജരിതൃ) ആഗ്രഹം നീ ക്ഷയിപ്പിക്കരുത്—കൊണ്ടുവന്ന് പൂരിപ്പിക്ക.
