अभि त्यं मेषं पुरुहूतमृग्मियमिन्द्रं गीर्भिर्मदता वस्वो अर्णवम् । यस्य द्यावो न विचरन्ति मानुषा भुजे मंहिष्ठमभि विप्रमर्चत ॥
abhí tyáṃ méṣaṃ puruhūtám ṛgmíyam índraṃ gī́rbhir madata vā́svo arṇavám | yásya dyā́vo ná vícaranti mā́nuṣā bhujé maṃhíṣṭham abhí vípram arcata ||
മേടുപോലെയുള്ള ബലവാനായ, പലവട്ടം ആഹ്വാനിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന, സ്തുത്യർഹനായ ഇന്ദ്രനിലേക്കു—വസുക്കളുടെ അർണവംപോലെ സമൃദ്ധിയുടെ സമുദ്രനായ അവനിലേക്കു—ആനന്ദകരമായ ഗീതങ്ങളാൽ തിരിയുക. മനുഷ്യപരിമാണങ്ങൾ ആകാശത്തെപ്പോലെ അവനെ കടക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല; ഭോഗത്തിനായി അത്യുദാരനായ ആ വിപ്രനെ (ഋഷിയെ) സ്തുതിക്കുവിൻ.
