Transliteration

híraṇyapāṇiḥ savitā́ vícarṣaṇir ubhé dyā́vāpṛthivī́ antár īyate | apā́mīvāṁ bā́dhate véti sū́ryam abhí kṛṣṇéna rájasā dyā́m ṛṇoti ||

Translation

സ്വർണ്ണ-ഹസ്തനായ സവിതൃ, വിശാലദർശി, ദ്യാവാ-പൃഥിവീ—ഉഭയ—യുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു. അവൻ അപാമീവ (രോഗ-ദുഃഖം) അകറ്റുന്നു; സൂര്യനിലേക്കു പോകുന്നു; കൃഷ്ണ രജസാൽ ആകാശത്തെ മൂടുന്നു.
