इयत्तिका शकुन्तिका सका जघास ते विषम् । सो चिन्नु न मराति नो वयं मरामारे अस्य योजनं हरिष्ठा मधु त्वा मधुला चकार ॥
iyattikā́ śakuntikā́ sakā́ jaghā́sa te víṣam | só cit nú ná marāti nó vayáṃ marāma āré asyá yójanam hariṣṭhā́ mádhu tvā madhulā́ cakāra ||
ചെറിയ പക്ഷിജീവികൾ നിന്റെ വിഷം വിഴുങ്ങിയാലും, അവർ മരിക്കുന്നില്ല—ഞങ്ങളും മരിക്കുന്നില്ല; ഇതുമായുള്ള ചേർച്ച ദൂരെയാകട്ടെ. ഹരിഷ്ഠാ (സ്വർണ്ണപ്രകാശത്തിൽ സ്ഥാപിതനായവനേ), മാധുര്യം നിന്നെ മധുരമാക്കുന്നു; ആനന്ദശക്തി വിഷത്തിന്റെ ഫലത്തെ മാറ്റിമറിക്കുന്നു.
