Sukta 1.177
ये ते वृषणो वृषभास इन्द्र ब्रह्मयुजो वृषरथासो अत्याः । ताँ आ तिष्ठ तेभिरा याह्यर्वाङ्हवामहे त्वा सुत इन्द्र सोमे ॥
yé te vṛ́ṣaṇo vṛṣabhā́sa indra brahma-yújo vṛ́ṣa-rathāso átyāḥ | tā́n ā́ tíṣṭha tébhir ā́ yāhy arvā́ṅ havāmahe tvā sutá índra sóme ||
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, നിന്റെ വൃഷണ—വൃഷഭസദൃശമായ—അത്യ (അശ്വ)ങ്ങൾ, ബ്രഹ്മയുജ—ബ്രഹ്മ (പവിത്ര വചനം) കൊണ്ടു യുക്തമായവ—വൃഷരഥ—ബലവാനായ രഥം വലിക്കുന്നവ—അവയിൽ നീ കയറുക; അവരോടുകൂടെ ഞങ്ങളിലേക്കു ഇവിടെ വരിക. ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, സുത സോമ സമയത്ത് ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ ഹവാമഹേ (ആഹ്വാനിക്കുന്നു).
