Sukta 1.164
इह ब्रवीतु य ईमङ्ग वेदास्य वामस्य निहितं पदं वेः । शीर्ष्णः क्षीरं दुह्रते गावो अस्य वव्रिं वसाना उदकं पदापुः ॥
ihá bravītu yá ī́m aṅgá védāsyá vā́masya ní-hitaṃ padáṃ véḥ | śīrṣṇáḥ kṣīráṃ duhrate gā́vo asya vavríṃ vásānā udakáṃ padā́puḥ ||
ഇവിടെ അവൻ പറയട്ടെ—ഈ പ്രിയന്റെ നിഹിതമായ പദം യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ അറിയുന്നവൻ. അതിന്റെ ശിരസ്സിൽ നിന്ന് പശുക്കൾ പാൽ കറക്കുന്നു; ആവരണം ധരിച്ച്, പദം വഴിയായി അവർ ജലത്തിലേക്ക് എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
