अस्ताव्यग्निः शिमीवद्भिरर्कैः साम्राज्याय प्रतरं दधानः । अमी च ये मघवानो वयं च मिहं न सूरो अति निष्टतन्युः ॥

ástāvy agníḥ śimī́vadbhir arkáiḥ sā́mrājyāya prá-taraṃ dádhānaḥ | amī́ ca yé maghávāno vayáṃ ca míhaṃ ná sū́ro áti níṣṭatanyuḥ ||

ശിമീവത് (ബലവത്തായ) അർക്കങ്ങൾ—സ്തുതിഗീതങ്ങൾ—കൊണ്ട് അഗ്നി സ്തുതിക്കപ്പെട്ടു; സാമ്രാജ്യത്തിനായി കൂടുതൽ ദൂരെയുള്ള അധിപത്യം സ്ഥാപിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്. ആ ദാനശീല മഘവാന്മാരും ഞങ്ങളും—സൂര്യൻ മഞ്ഞിനെ അതിക്രമിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ—തടസ്സങ്ങളെ കടന്ന് വ്യാപിക്കട്ടെ.
