अत्राह तद्वहेथे मध्व आहुतिं यमश्वत्थमुपतिष्ठन्त जायवोऽस्मे ते सन्तु जायवः । साकं गावः सुवते पच्यते यवो न ते वाय उप दस्यन्ति धेनवो नाप दस्यन्ति धेनवः ॥
atrā́ha tád vahethe mádhva ā́hutiṃ yám aśvatthám upa-tíṣṭhanta jā́yavo ’smé té santu jā́yavaḥ | sā́kaṃ gā́vaḥ súvate pácyate yávo ná te vāya úpa dasyanti dhénavo nā́pa dasyanti dhénavaḥ ||
ഇവിടെയാകുന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ഇരുവരും ആ മധു-ആഹുതിയെ വഹിക്കുന്നത്—എവിടെ സഖാക്കൾ അശ്വത്ഥ (അരയാൽ/പീപ്പൾ) ചുറ്റും കൂടി നിൽക്കുന്നു; ആ സഖാക്കൾ ഞങ്ങളോടും കൂടെയിരിക്കട്ടെ. ഒരുമിച്ച് ഗാവഃ (കിരണങ്ങൾ/പ്രകാശധാരകൾ) ജനിക്കുന്നു; യവം (അന്നം/ബലത്തിന്റെ ധാന്യം) പാകമാകുന്നു. ഹേ വായു, നിനക്കായി ധേനവഃ (പോഷകശക്തികൾ/പാൽധാരകൾ) ഒരിക്കലും ക്ഷയിക്കില്ല; പോഷക പ്രവാഹങ്ങൾ പിന്മാറുകയുമില്ല.
