अजोहवीदश्विना वर्तिका वामास्नो यत्सीममुञ्चतं वृकस्य । वि जयुषा ययथुः सान्वद्रेर्जातं विष्वाचो अहतं विषेण ॥
ájohavīd aśvinā vártikā vām āsnó yát sīm ámuñcataṃ vṛ́kasya | ví jayúṣā yayathúḥ sānú adréḥ jātáṃ viṣvā́co ahataṃ viṣéṇa ||
ഹേ അശ്വിന്മാരേ, വർത്തികാ നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചു, നിങ്ങൾ അവളെ വൃകന്റെ വായിൽ നിന്ന് മോചിപ്പിച്ചപ്പോൾ. പിന്നെ നിങ്ങൾ വിജയം നിറഞ്ഞ ബലത്തോടെ മുന്നേറി; പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ ചരിവിൽ ജനിച്ച സർവ്വഭക്ഷകനെ നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ വിഷത്താൽ—ചികിത്സക പ്രതിബലത്താൽ—വധിച്ചു.
