Sukta 1.101
यः शूरेभिर्हव्यो यश्च भीरुभिर्यो धावद्भिर्हूयते यश्च जिग्युभिः । इन्द्रं यं विश्वा भुवनाभि संदधुर्मरुत्वन्तं सख्याय हवामहे ॥
yáḥ śūrébhir hávyo yáś ca bhīrúbhir yó dhā́vadbhir hūyáte yáś ca jigyúbhiḥ | índraṁ yáṁ víśvā bhúvanā́bhi sáṁdadhur marútvantaṁ sakhyā́ya havāmahe ||
ശൂരന്മാരാലും ഭീരുക്കളാലും ഒരുപോലെ ആഹ്വാനിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവൻ; പരിശ്രമിച്ച് ഓടുന്നവർ വിളിക്കുന്നവനും ജയിച്ചവർ വിളിക്കുന്നവനും; സകല ഭൂവനങ്ങളും ഒരേ സുസ്വരതയിൽ ഒന്നിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഇന്ദ്രൻ—മരുത്വന്തനായ ആ ഇന്ദ്രനെ സഖ്യതയ്ക്കായി ഞങ്ങൾ ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
