Rama’s Progress along the Royal Highway
एताश्चान्याश्च सुहृदामुदासीनः कथाश्शुभाः।।।।आत्मसम्पूजनीश्शृण्वन्ययौ रामो महापथम्।
etāś cānyāś ca suhṛdām udāsīnaḥ kathāḥ śubhāḥ | ātma-sampūjanīḥ śṛṇvan yayau rāmo mahāpatham ||
സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾ പറഞ്ഞ ഇവയും മറ്റു മംഗളവചനങ്ങളും—തന്നെ ആദരിച്ച് പുകഴ്ത്തുന്ന വാക്കുകൾ—കേട്ടുകൊണ്ട് രാമൻ നിർലിപ്തനായി മഹാപഥത്തിലൂടെ മുന്നോട്ട് പോയി.
Indifferent to such warm words by his friends in his favour Rama passed along the highway.

Rama is moving along the main road in Ayodhya while citizens and well-wishers speak favorably of him; he listens without attachment and proceeds onward.
