tathā hy alarkas tejasvī brāhmaṇe vedapārage |

yācamāne svake netre uddhṛtya avimanā dadau ||

Translation

അതുപോലെ തന്നെ തേജസ്വിയായ രാജാവ് അലർക്കൻ—വേദപാരംഗതനായ ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ യാചിച്ചപ്പോൾ—തന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾ തന്നെ പിഴുതെടുത്തു, മനസ്സു കുലുങ്ങാതെ ദാനം ചെയ്തു.
