amāvāsyā́ | yát te devā́ akṛṇvan bhāgadhéyam amāvā́sye saṁvásanto mahitvā́ | ténā no yajñám pipṛhi viśvavāre rayím no dhehi subhage suvī́ram ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

New-moon. What share the Gods established for thee at new-moon, abiding together in thy majesty—therewith make full our sacrifice, O all-boon-giving; set for us wealth, O fortunate one, rich in goodly sons and men.

Translation

അമാവാസ്യ. ഹേ അമാവാസ്യേ, ദേവന്മാർ നിനക്കായി സ്ഥാപിച്ച ഭാഗധേയം—നിന്റെ മഹിമയിൽ ഒരുമിച്ചു വസിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്—അതുകൊണ്ട്, ഹേ വിശ്വവാരേ (സർവ്വവരദായിനി), ഞങ്ങളുടെ യജ്ഞം പൂർണ്ണമാക്കുക. ഹേ സുഭഗേ, ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് റയി (സമ്പത്ത്) നല്കുക; സുവീര (നല്ല പുത്രന്മാരും പുരുഷന്മാരും) കൊണ്ട് സമൃദ്ധമാക്കുക.
