ഈ സംക്ഷിപ്ത പൗഷ്ടിക സൂക്തം അമാവാസി രാത്രിയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ശുഭമായ ചന്ദ്രശക്തിയായ കുഹൂവിനെ ആഹ്വാനിക്കുന്നു—യജ്ഞം ഫലപ്രദമാകാനും യജമാനന് സമഗ്രവും ഇഷ്ടവസ്തുക്കളാൽ നിറഞ്ഞതുമായ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട സമ്പത്ത് ‘നിയോഗിച്ച്’ നൽകാനും. ആവർത്തിച്ച വിളി (ജോഹവീമി)യും അവൾ ഹവിസ് സ്വീകരിക്കണമെന്ന അപേക്ഷയും വഴി, ഈ സൂക്തം റായസ്-പോഷം (സമൃദ്ധിയുടെ വർധനം)യും ശക്തിയുള്ള വീരപുത്രൻ (വീര) എന്ന ദാനവും ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നു. ഗൃഹാർപ്പണം കുഹൂവിന്റെ സ്വീകരണശീലമുള്ള, ഫലപ്രദമായ ഭാവത്തോടു ചേർത്തുനിർത്തുന്നതിലാണ് ഇതിന്റെ ശക്തി; അതുവഴി സമൃദ്ധിയും വംശപരമ്പരയും ഒരുമിച്ച് ഉറപ്പുവരുന്നു.

കുഹൂ! സുകൃതയായ, ജ്ഞാനത്തോടെ പ്രവർത്തനശീലമായ, ഈ യജ്ഞത്തിൽ എളുപ്പം ആഹ്വാനിക്കാവുന്ന കുഹൂ ദേവിയെ ഞാൻ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും വിളിക്കുന്നു. അവൾ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് എല്ലാ ശ്രേഷ്ഠതകളും നിറഞ്ഞ ധനം നിശ്ചയിക്കട്ടെ; സ്തുതിയർഹമായ, ശതദായിയായ വരദാനമായി, ഒരു വീരപുത്രനെയും നൽകട്ടെ.

കുഹൂ ദേവി, ദേവന്മാരുടെ അമൃതത്തിന്റെ പത്നി—ഞങ്ങൾക്കായി ഈ ഹവിഷിന്റെ അർപ്പിത ഭാഗങ്ങൾ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ സ്വീകരിക്കട്ടെ. ഇന്ന് അനുകൂലഭാവത്തോടെ യജ്ഞം കേൾക്കട്ടെ; ജ്ഞാനവതിയായി ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ധനവർദ്ധനയും പോഷണവും നൽകട്ടെ.
