Sukta 35
इ॒मा यास्ते॑ श॒तं हि॒राः स॒हस्रं॑ ध॒मनी॑रु॒त। तासां॑ ते॒ सर्वा॑साम॒हमश्म॑ना॒ बिल॒मप्य॑धाम्
imā́ yā́s te śatáṃ hirā́ḥ sahásraṃ dhamánīr utá | tāsā́ṃ te sárvāsām ahám aśmánā bilám ápy adhām ||
These, which are thine—thy hundred veins, and thy thousand ducts besides—over the mouth of them all for thee, I, with a stone, have laid a covering.
ഇവ നിന്റേതാകുന്നു—നിന്റെ നൂറു ശിരകളും, അതോടൊപ്പം ആയിരം ധമനികളും. അവയൊക്കെയുടെയും വായ്മേൽ, നിനക്കായി, ഞാൻ കല്ലുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു മൂടുപാളി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
