Sukta 11
पुं॒सि वै रेतो॑ भवति॒ तत् स्त्रि॒यामनु॑ षिच्यते । तद् वै पु॒त्रस्य॒ वेद॑नं॒ तत् प्र॒जाप॑तिरब्रवीत्
puṁsí vái réto bhávati tát striyā́m ánu sicyate | tád vái putrásya védanaṁ tát prajā́patir abravīt ||
In the man, verily, the seed hath being; thereafter it is poured into the woman. That, indeed, is the winning of a son: thus spake Prajāpati.
പുരുഷനില് സത്യമായി രേതസ് (വീര്യം) നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു; പിന്നെ അത് സ്ത്രീയില് സേചിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. അതുതന്നെ സത്യമായി പുത്രലാഭം—ഇങ്ങനെ പ്രജാപതി അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
