Sukta 15
सं॒व॒त्स॒रं श॑शया॒ना ब्रा॑ह्म॒णा व्र॑तचा॒रिणः॑ । वाचं॑ प॒र्जन्य॑जिन्वितां॒ प्र म॒ण्डूका॑ अवादिषुः
saṃvatsaráṃ śaśayānā brāhmaṇā́ vratacā́riṇaḥ | vā́caṃ parjánya-jinvítāṃ prá maṇḍūkā avādiṣuḥ ||
For a year lying still, like Brahmans observing vows, the frogs—stirred to utterance by Parjanya—have spoken forth their voice.
ഒരു വർഷം മുഴുവൻ നിശ്ശബ്ദമായി കിടന്നവർപോലെ, വ്രതചരിക്കുന്ന ബ്രാഹ്മണരെപ്പോലെ—പർജന്യൻ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചതോടെ മണ്ഡൂകങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ വാക്ക് പ്രസ്ഫുടമായി ഉച്ചരിച്ചു.
