A destroyer of wasting-disease: the Gods have driven it off, the covering of decay; thou too, O Agni, drive it off—misfortune. From every evil taint, from wasting-disease, together with full life, may I be set free.
Rishi: Atharvanic/Aṅgirasa tradition (healing hymn)
Devata: Agni; also the functional power ‘Yakṣmanāśana’ (disease-destroyer)
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (approx.)
Primary: vira
Secondary: shanta
