आ त्वा॑ विशन्तु सु॒तास॑ इन्द्र पृ॒णस्व॑ कु॒क्षी वि॒ड्ढि श॑क्र धि॒येह्या नः॑ । श्रु॒धी हवं॒ गिरो॑ मे जुष॒स्वेन्द्र॑ स्व॒युग्भि॒र्मत्स्वे॒ह म॒हे रणा॑य
ā tvā́ viśantu sutā́sa indra pṛṇásva kukṣī́ víḍḍhi śakra dhiyéhā́ naḥ | śrudhī́ haváṃ gíro me juṣásvendra svayúgbhir mátsvehá mahé ráṇāya
Let the pressed draughts enter thee, O Indra; fill thou thy flanks: smite through, O Mighty, with inspired thought; come hither unto us. Hear thou the call; accept my uttered songs, O Indra; with thine own yoked teams be thou exhilarate here, for the great battle.
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, പിഴിഞ്ഞ സോമപാനങ്ങൾ നിന്നിലേക്കു പ്രവേശിക്കട്ടെ; നീ നിന്റെ കുക്ഷി (പാർശ്വങ്ങൾ) നിറയ്ക്കുക. ഹേ ശക്രാ, പ്രേരിത ധീയാൽ ഭേദിച്ചു പ്രഹരിക്ക; ഞങ്ങളിലേക്കു ഇവിടെ വരിക. ആ ഹവം കേൾക്കുക; എന്റെ ഗിരഃ (സ്തുതി-വാണി) സ്വീകരിക്ക. ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, നിന്റെ സ്വയുഗ്ഭിഃ (സ്വന്തമായി യോജിപ്പിച്ച രഥ-ദളം) സഹിതം ഇവിടെ ഉല്ലസിക്ക—മഹാ രണത്തിനായി.
