अमु॑क्था॒ यक्ष्मा॑द् दुरि॒ताद॑व॒द्याद् द्रु॒हः पाशा॒द् ग्राह्या॒श्चोद॑मुक्थाः । ए॒वाहं त्वां क्षे॑त्रि॒यान्निरृ॑त्या जामिशं॒साद् द्रु॒हो मु॑ञ्चामि॒ वरु॑णस्य॒ पाशा॑त्। अ॒ना॒गसं॒ ब्रह्म॑णा त्वा कृणोमि शि॒वे ते॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी उ॒भे स्ता॑म्
amúkthā́ yákṣmād duritā́d avadyā́d drúhaḥ pā́śād grāhyā́ś codámukthāḥ | evā́háṃ tvāṃ kṣetriyā́n nírṛtyā jā́miśaṃsād drúho muñcā́mi váruṇasya pā́śāt || anā́gasaṃ bráhmaṇā tvā kṛṇomi śivḗ te dyā́vā-pṛthivī́ ubhḗ stām ||
Loosed art thou from wasting-sickness, from evil hap, from blameful fault; from Druh’s bond, from the Seizer’s grasp—yea, wholly loosed art thou. Thus I release thee from the field-born ill, from Nirṛti, from the kinsman’s curse, from treacherous harm; I loose thee from the noose of Varuṇa. Guiltless by sacred spell I make thee: auspicious for thee let Heaven and Earth, both twain, stand fast.
നീ യക്ഷ്മയിൽ നിന്ന്, ദുരിത (അപശകുനം/ദുര്ഭാഗ്യം)യിൽ നിന്ന്, അവദ്യ (നിന്ദ്യമായ ദോഷം)യിൽ നിന്ന് മോചിതനായിരിക്കുന്നു; ദ്രുഹിന്റെ പാശത്തിൽ നിന്ന്, ഗ്രാഹ്യ (പിടിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നവൻ/സീജർ)ന്റെ പിടിയിൽ നിന്ന് കൂടി—അതെ, പൂർണ്ണമായി മോചിതനായിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ക്ഷേത്രിയയിൽ നിന്ന്, നിരൃതിയിൽ നിന്ന്, ജാമി-ശംസാ (ബന്ധുവിന്റെ ശാപം)യിൽ നിന്ന്, ദ്രുഹ് (ദ്രോഹം/കപടം)യിൽ നിന്ന് മോചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു—വരുണന്റെ പാശത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വിടുതൽ നൽകുന്നു. ബ്രഹ്മ (മന്ത്രശക്തി) കൊണ്ട് നിന്നെ അനാഗസ (നിർദോഷൻ) ആക്കുന്നു; നിനക്കായി ദ്യാവാ-പൃഥിവീ—ഇരുവരും—ശിവ (മംഗളകര)മായി നിലകൊള്ളട്ടെ.
