स यत् प्राचीं॒ दिश॒मनु॒ व्यच॑ल॒न्मारु॑तं॒ शर्धो॑ भू॒त्वानु॒व्यचल॒न्मनो॑ऽन्ना॒दं कृ॒त्वा

Sanskrit recitationAtharva Veda 15.14.1

sá yát prācī́ṃ díśam ánu vyácalat mārutáṃ śárdho bhūtvā́nv-avyácalat máno ’nnādáṃ kṛtvā́

When he advanced along the Eastern quarter, he, becoming a Marut-host, advanced on; having made the Mind a devourer of food.

അവൻ കിഴക്കുദിക്കിനെ അനുഗമിച്ച് മുന്നേറിയപ്പോൾ, മരുৎ-ഗണമായി (മാരുതം ശർധഃ) ആയി മുന്നേറി; മനസ്സിനെ അന്നഭോജിയായി (അന്നാദം) ആക്കി.
