Aśvins (Nāsatyas)
This short Aśvin hymn repeatedly invites the Nāsatyas to come swiftly to the poet’s call and drink the honeyed Soma. It asks the divine Twins to bring secure protection (chardiḥ), to strengthen the singer’s inspired speech, and to make the rite fruitful through their timely arrival and aid.

Mantra 1
आ मे हवं नासत्याश्विना गच्छतं युवम् । मध्वः सोमस्य पीतये ॥
अश्विन भाई, मेरे बुलाने पर आओ। सोम का रस पीने के लिए आओ। यह रस मीठा है और मन को खुश करता है।
Mantra 2
इमं मे स्तोममश्विनेमं मे शृणुतं हवम् । मध्वः सोमस्य पीतये ॥
अश्विन भाई, मेरा यह गाना सुनो। मैं तुम्हे बुला रहा हूँ। आओ और मीठा सोम पियो। यह ड्रिंक तुम्हे अंदर से खुश करेगा।

अयं वां कृष्णो अश्विना हवते वाजिनीवसू । मध्वः सोमस्य पीतये ॥
अश्विन, कृष्ण तुम्हे बुला रहा है। वो कहता है आओ और मीठा सोम पियो। यह तुम्हे ताकत देगा।

शृणुतं जरितुर्हवं कृष्णस्य स्तुवतो नरा । मध्वः सोमस्य पीतये ॥
अश्विन भाई, सुनो कृष्ण क्या गाता है। वो तुम्हारी तारीफ कर रहा है। आओ और मीठा सोम पियो, यह तुम्हे खुश रखेगा।

छर्दिर्यन्तमदाभ्यं विप्राय स्तुवते नरा । मध्वः सोमस्य पीतये ॥
अश्विन, इस रिशि के पास आओ। वो तुम्हारी तारीफ कर रहा है। उसके लिए शांति लाओ और मीठा सोम पियो।

गच्छतं दाशुषो गृहमित्था स्तुवतो अश्विना । मध्वः सोमस्य पीतये ॥
अश्विन, उस आदमी के घर जाओ जो तुम्हे सोम दे रहा है। वो तुम्हारी तारीफ कर रहा है। आओ और मीठा सोम पियो।

युञ्जाथां रासभं रथे वीड्वङ्गे वृषण्वसू । मध्वः सोमस्य पीतये ॥
अश्विन्स, तुम दोनों अपने रथ में एक ताकतवाला घोड़ा जोड़ो। यह घोड़ा मज़बूत है और उसमें बहुत ताकत है। तुम दोनों बड़े हो। सोम पीने के लिए ऐसा करो। सोम मीठा होता है जैसे शहद।

त्रिवन्धुरेण त्रिवृता रथेना यातमश्विना । मध्वः सोमस्य पीतये ॥
अश्विन्स, तुम दोनों आओ। तुम्हारा रथ तीन लोगों के लिए है और तीन तरफ से चलता है। यह रथ बिल्कुल सही चलता है। सोम पीने के लिए आओ। सोम मीठा होता है और यह इंसान को आगे ले जाता है।

नू मे गिरो नासत्याश्विना प्रावतं युवम् । मध्वः सोमस्य पीतये ॥
अब मेरे बोलों को पकड़ के रखो। नसत्य और अश्विन्स, तुम दोनों मेरे बोलों को आगे बढ़ाओ। सोम पीने के लिए ऐसा करो। सोम मीठा होता है और यह बोलों को सही बनाता है।
