Sukta 10.13
देवेभ्यः कमवृणीत मृत्युं प्रजायै कममृतं नावृणीत । बृहस्पतिं यज्ञमकृण्वत ऋषिं प्रियां यमस्तन्वं प्रारिरेचीत् ॥
devébhyaḥ kám avṛṇīta mṛtyúṃ pra-jā́yai kám amṛ́taṃ ná avṛṇīta | bṛ́haspátiṃ yajñám akṛṇvata ṛ́ṣiṃ priyā́ṃ yámas tanváṃ prá arirecīt ||
¿A quién eligió entre los dioses para la muerte, y a quién, por la progenie, no eligió para la inmortalidad? A Bṛhaspati lo hicieron sacrificio, al ṛṣi amado; Yama extendió hacia delante su cuerpo — estableciendo el armazón mortal como el campo donde la obra sagrada puede cumplirse y ser trascendida.
