गत्वा हिमालयं चासौ बदरीमभितो गतः॥ व्यासश्चर्यापरस्तत्र ध्यानयोगपरायणः॥
gatvā himālayaṃ cāsau badarīm abhito gataḥ || vyāsaś caryāparas tatra dhyānayogaparāyaṇaḥ
Nachdem er in den Himalaya gegangen war, begab er sich auch in die Gegend um Badarī. Dort war Vyāsa, der sich strenger Lebensführung verschrieben hatte, ganz auf die Yoga-Meditation ausgerichtet.
