Sukta 3.13
दीदिवांसमपूर्व्यं वस्वीभिरस्य धीतिभिः । ऋक्वाणो अग्निमिन्धते होतारं विश्पतिं विशाम् ॥
dīdivā́ṃsam apū́rvyaṃ vásvībhiḥ asya dhītíbhiḥ | ṛkvā́ṇo agním indhate hótāraṃ viśpátiṃ viśā́m ||
Die Sänger entfachen Agni, den ewig Leuchtenden, den Uralten ohnegleichen (apūrvya), mit seinen reichen Eingebungen. Sie wecken ihn als Hotar (hotā), den Opferpriester, und als Herrn des Stammes, als Herrn der Völker (viśpáti) im geordneten Leben.
