इदं सु मे जरितरा चिकिद्धि प्रतीपं शापं नद्यो वहन्ति । लोपाशः सिंहं प्रत्यञ्चमत्साः क्रोष्टा वराहं निरतक्त कक्षात् ॥

Transliteration

idáṃ sú me jaritarā́ cikiddhi pratī́paṃ śā́paṃ nádyò vahanti | lopāśáḥ síṃhaṃ pratyañcám atsā́ri kroṣṭā́ varāháṃ nír atakta kákṣāt ||

Translation

افهموا هذا منّي، يا منشدي المديح (jaritṛ): إنّ الأنهار تحمل اللعنة راجعةً على اللاعن. وابنُ آوى يردّ الأسدَ إلى الوراء؛ والضبعُ يجرّ الخنزيرَ البرّيَّ خارجَ الأجمة—هكذا تقع الانقلابات حين يُقلب النظامُ على الحقّ.
