Sukta 1.126
उप मा श्यावाः स्वनयेन दत्ता वधूमन्तो दश रथासो अस्थुः । षष्टिः सहस्रमनु गव्यमागात्सनत्कक्षीवाँ अभिपित्वे अह्नाम् ॥
úpa mā śyāvā́ḥ svanáyena dattā́ vadhū́manto dáśa ráthāso asthuḥ | ṣaṣṭíḥ sahásram ánu gavyám ā́gāt sánat kakṣī́vān abhipitvé áhnām ||
اقتربتْ إليّ العطايا الداكنةُ السمراء، مُنحتْ بصوتها الخاص؛ ووقفتْ عشرُ عرباتٍ، ممتلئةً كامتلاءِ العروس. وتبِعَتْ ستّونَ ألفًا كـ«ماشية» متلألئة—ونال ككشيفان على الدوام صحبةَ الأيّام (إيقاعَ الزمن الثابت).
