Sukta 1.119
सं यन्मिथः पस्पृधानासो अग्मत शुभे मखा अमिता जायवो रणे । युवोरह प्रवणे चेकिते रथो यदश्विना वहथः सूरिमा वरम् ॥
sáṃ yán mitháḥ paspṛdhānā́so ágmat śubhé makhā́ ámitā jā́yavo ráṇe | yuvór áha praváṇe cékitē rátho yád aśvinā́ váhathaḥ sūrím ā́ váram ||
حين يلتقي المتبارون، يتدافعون بعضُهم مع بعضٍ، في الميدانِ البهيّ—طاقاتٌ لا تُقاسُ تطلبُ الظَّفَرَ في المعركة—فعندئذٍ حقًّا يتجلّى مركبُكما على المنحدر، يا أشفين، إذ تحملان البطلَ إلى العطيّةِ المختارة.
