sa rāghavaḥ prekṣya sumantram abravīn: nivēdayasva āgamanaṃ nṛpāya me ||31||
وأما راغhava، المحبّ للدارما، وقد عزم عزماً ثابتاً على دخول الغابة امتثالاً لأمر أبيه، فلما رأى سومانتر قال: «أبلِغِ الملكَ بقدومي».
Rama, lover of righteousness, determined to go to the forest in obedience to hisfather's command said to Sumantra, Inform the king of my arrival.ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē ayōdhyākāṇḍē trayastriṅśassargaḥ৷৷Thus ends the thirtythird sarga in Ayodhyakanda of the holy Ramayana, the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.
Filial obedience grounded in dharma and satya: Rāma accepts the father’s command as binding and acts with orderly propriety.
At the palace entrance, Rāma instructs Sumantra to announce him to King Daśaratha, as he is resolved to depart for the forest.
Dharma-vātsalya (love of righteousness) and niścaya (firm resolve) in Rāma.
