कदू न्वस्याकृतमिन्द्रस्यास्ति पौंस्यम् । केनो नु कं श्रोमतेन न शुश्रुवे जनुषः परि वृत्रहा ॥

kadū́ nv asyā́kṛtam índrasyā́sti páuṃsyam | kénō nu kaṃ śrómatena ná śuśruve jánuṣaḥ pári vṛtrahā́ ||

เมื่อใดเล่าที่การกระทำของอินทราจะไม่เป็นพลังอันองอาจของบุรุษ (เปามฺสฺยํ)? ด้วยการได้ยินอย่างใดเล่าที่ผู้ใดจะมิได้ยิน ตั้งแต่กำเนิดเป็นต้นมา ถึง “ผู้สังหารผู้ปกปิด” (วฤตระหัน)?—เพราะกิจของท่านเองคือขนบแห่งพลังที่ตื่นรู้
