Transliteration
samídhā yás ta ā́hutiṃ níśitiṃ mártyo náśat | vayā́vantaṃ sá púṣyati kṣáyam agne śatáyūṣam ||
Translation
ผู้เป็นมนุษย์ผู้ต้องตายซึ่งเข้าถึงเครื่องบูชาของท่าน ด้วยฟืนก่อไฟ (samidh) และด้วยการกระทำอันคมกริบที่มุ่งตรง เขาย่อมบำรุงเรือนอันเปี่ยมพลังชีวิต—โอ้อัคนี (Agni)—เป็นที่พำนักแห่งอายุร้อย (śatāyus).
