सत्रासाहं वरेण्यं सहोदां ससवांसं स्वरपश्च देवीः । ससान यः पृथिवीं द्यामुतेमामिन्द्रं मदन्त्यनु धीरणासः ॥
satrāsā́haṃ váreṇyaṃ sahodā́ṃ sasavā́ṃsaṃ svàr ápaś ca devī́ḥ | sasā́na yáḥ pṛthivī́ṃ dyā́m utémām índraṃ madanty ánu dhī́raṇāsaḥ ||
ผู้พิชิตทั่วหน้า ผู้ควรแก่การเลือกสรร ผู้ประทานพลัง; ผู้ได้ชัยเหนือแสงสวรรค์สวรฺ (svar) และเหนือสายน้ำอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของเทวี. ผู้ครอบงำแผ่นดิน ฟ้า และโลกนี้—ตามเขาไป จิตอันมั่นคงทั้งหลายย่อมรื่นรมย์ในอินทรา.
