Sukta 2.38
समाववर्ति विष्ठितो जिगीषुर्विश्वेषां कामश्चरताममाभूत् । शश्वाँ अपो विकृतं हित्व्यागादनु व्रतं सवितुर्दैव्यस्य ॥
sam-ā́vavarti víṣṭhito jigīṣúr víśveṣāṃ kā́maś cáratām amā́bhūt | śáśvāṃ ápo ví-kṛtaṃ hitvī́ ā́gād ánu vratáṃ savitúr daívyasya ||
เขาหมุนเวียนกลับไปกลับมา ยืนมั่นคง ผู้ใฝ่ชัยชนะ; เขากลายเป็นความปรารถนาในหมู่สรรพสิ่งที่เคลื่อนไหวทั้งปวง. ละทิ้งรูปแบบอันบิดเบี้ยวแล้ว เขามาพร้อมสายน้ำอันนิรันดร์ ตามวรตะ (vrata) คือกฎศักดิ์สิทธิ์แห่งสวิตฤ (Savitṛ).
