Sukta 2.31
उत त्ये देवी सुभगे मिथूदृशोषासानक्ता जगतामपीजुवा । स्तुषे यद्वां पृथिवि नव्यसा वचः स्थातुश्च वयस्त्रिवया उपस्तिरे ॥
utá tyé devī́ subhágē mithū-dṛ́śo uṣásā-náktā jágatām api-júvā | stuṣé yád vāṃ pṛthivi návyasā vácas sthātúś ca váyas trí-vayā upa-stíre ||
และยังมีเทวีทั้งสอง ผู้เป็นคู่มงคลมีทัศนะเดียวกัน—อุษา (รุ่งอรุณ) และนัคตา (ราตรี)—ผู้ขับเคลื่อนสรรพสิ่งที่เคลื่อนไหวให้ก้าวหน้า ข้าพเจ้าสรรเสริญท่านทั้งสอง; เมื่อข้าพเจ้ากล่าวด้วยถ้อยคำใหม่ยิ่งขึ้น โอแผ่นดินเอ๋ย ทั้งผู้ตั้งมั่นและพลังมีปีกแห่งชีวิตสามชั้น ย่อมแผ่ตนเป็นแท่นรองรับ เป็นที่นอน (เป็นรากฐาน) เพื่อความงอกงามของท่าน
