Sukta 2.12
यः सुन्वन्तमवति यः पचन्तं यः शंसन्तं यः शशमानमूती । यस्य ब्रह्म वर्धनं यस्य सोमो यस्येदं राधः स जनास इन्द्रः ॥
yaḥ sunvantam avati yaḥ pacantaṃ yaḥ śaṃsantaṃ yaḥ śaśamānam ūtī | yasya brahma vardhanaṃ yasya somo yasyedaṃ rādhaḥ sa janāsa indraḥ ||
ท่านทรงคุ้มครองผู้คั้นโสมะ ผู้ปรุงเครื่องบูชา ผู้สาธยายสรรเสริญ; และด้วยอุทิของท่าน ทรงคุ้มครองผู้เพียรฝึกตนให้ชนะตนเอง. ความรุ่งเรืองของท่านเติบโตด้วยพรหมัน (Brahman) โสมะ (Soma) เป็นของท่าน และความอุดมบริบูรณ์นี้ก็เป็นของท่าน—โอ้ชนทั้งหลาย ผู้นั้นแลคืออินทระ (Indra).
